ظمآن تائهٌ حيران
أشتكي الحرمان
من بريق النور
غربان تملؤ الأغصان
غابت الألحان
غابت الطيور

I'm thirsty, lost and confused

I feel like I'm deprived

From the glance of light

Lots of crows on the trees

No melodies and no birds

سراب كان لي كالماء
و الخراب يملؤ الأرجاء
و الأشجار تموت
و في من حولي لا أحياء
أحيا في الحرمان مهجور

Mirage seems to me like water

And all the place is desolated

Trees are dead and all what's around me

I'm feel lonely and deprived

كان النور ينير لي دربي أفراح الأيام
و الأطيار تغرد حولي تشدو بالأنغام
ضاعت الأحلام وابتدى الظلام ينسج الآلام
من خيوط النور

Light was guiding me in my happy days

Birds were chirping and singing melodies

My dreams are faded then darkness began
To extinguish my light through pain

و النور بان خلف السور
بالسنا مغمور و الهنا قد بان
مجبور و قلبي مأسور
لماضٍ مسرور يجهل الأحزان

Light was apparent behind the wall

Filled with sparks and joy is shown

My heart is captivated by my cheerful past

That knows nothing about sorrow

لكن ظلمات الأمس قد شقت وثاقي
و بريق النور قد زاد اشتياقي
فمتى يا قيد تكتب لي عتاقي
و العذاب زادني عناء
و الخراب يملؤ الأرجاء
و الأصفاد تقطع قلبي تجعله أشلاء
في ظلام الليل المنثور

Despite of this, the darkness of my past

Has broken my chains 

And the glance of light has enliven my thrill

?When my chains will let me be free

Anguish make my suffering worse

And all the place around me is wrecked

And these shackles are breaking my heart

Make it pieces in the darkness of night

لا يا قيد سئمت حياتي من بين الأموات
لن أرضى بالعيش وحيداً تصحبني الظلمات
طرت كالعصفور و ارتقيت السور
ثم عشت النور في ظلال الأمان

Oh my shackles I say: No

I fed up with my life among the dead people

I'm not satisfied to live lonely

As a friend of my darkness

Now, I fly like a bird and jump the wall

I live in light under the shadow of peace

أطيار تملؤ الأشجار
حولها الأنهار حولها الزهور
أقمار تبعث الأنوار
تسحر الأنظار تبعث السرور

Now there are birds on the trees

There are rivers and roses around them

Light is so clear on the moon

Pleasing and charming my eyes
